Hey guys, Charity here!! Last week's level session was awesome. The Dare Groups were debating about god's love for them. It's really an interesting activity to show how much you know about the bible verses, how much you know about god's love and lastly..your persuasive debating skills(not the main point) ha ha :)
It was supposed to be fun...however a handful of our dare group-mates seemed pretty stressed(including me). Well that's not the right attitude yeah :) My group was supposed to be the opposition of " when good things happen to me, that shows that god's love for me is powerful. But if something bad things happen to me. it shows that god loves me less". I can tell you truthfully that this debate wasn't a piece of cake because the proposition team had very good points that kept everyone thinking.. What the proposition team brought out, did make sense. I was questioning myself and god too. The prop team brought out points such as "if god really love me, why I don't have enough money to shop or why people still get into an accident." However at the end of the debate, Dora shared with us Jeremiah 17:5-6(cursed man) & 17: 7-8(blessed man)
Everyone was really blessed by it and all glory to Jesus!
Jeremiah 17:7-8
"But blessed is the man who trust in the lord,
whose confidence is in him.
He will be like a tree planted by
the water(grace)
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
